Human Rights.. As a whole.. From my view..

Hey peeps!

Basically, today I'm going to talk about what I feel Human Rights really is.
Of course, it logically means that we humans have some rights, things that we can do freely.
Like.. for instance. Freedom of speech.
Basically, we can have opinions about things/people/politicians. We have the right to speak. The right to think. The right to imagine.

From what I can see, Indonesia still isn't purely cured from the Soeharto era in 1998 (whereas the freedom of speech was violated).
Sometimes, society still thinks the freedom of speech is something to be controlled, uniformed. And some are even ashamed to even think something's that's different from others.
Reality is.. the mind is free. We can't stop it.
We also have the right to have a home. The right to have a good education. The right...  to pray and worship our God.
The right.... to build a church/mosque/any other worship homes.

This right. Has been violated. Enough.

In 2011, a church in Bogor, GKI Yasmin, was suddenly attacked by one religious organization.
In 2011, people in Cinere, asked for permission to build a church, HKBP Cinere, and was REJECTED.
In 2012, a church in Kelapa Dua, was SEALED.
In 2012, a church in Bintaro was DISMISSED.

There are more. This isn't all.

Worst part is, it's like there's no support or word whatsoever from the government.

This is not a personal battle. I do not know any people from the victims of those human right violations.
But I do know this.
These people tried to fight, they tried to hold their head up high and fight for their rights.

If the government won't even TRY to help them, I will. If I have to fight and face those organizations myself. I will.

Why?

Because this isn't only a human rights violation, but also our motto: #BhinnekaTunggalIka that's also been violated.

Indonesia is a beautiful country, multicultural, wrapped with differences.
#BhinnekaTunggalIka , means Different, but united. Different, but tolerant. Different, and respect those differences:")

Why is it so hard to accept that someone is different?

Youth in Indonesia has to have #BhinnekaTunggalIka on their mind and in their heart.

It's our duty to make Indonesia better!

It's our duty to make Indonesia brighter!

It's our duty to make Indonesia UNITED!
