Destroying Negativity by Positivity

When someone you know achieved something you have been dreaming about accomplishing, it's like a hard slap on your face.
When someone you know got something, bought something, did something, that you've dreamed about having, about buying, or doing.. it's like you've been slapped freakin hard by the world.
It's like a wake-up call.
Like suddenly the whole world is saying "Yo, Girl.. Guess who got this/bought this/achieved this? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE/ACCOMPLISHED NOW?"

You are drawn to punish yourself by listening to desperate songs, watch desperate TV shows, stay away from socmed (coz you DON'T want to hear about the success that she/he made), and if you are me, you are drawn to eat 1 litter of chocolate moose baskin robins's ice cream, all by yourself, with your weekly allowance, not caring on how you're going to get to campus tomorrow coz you got no cash. No, all you need is that ice cream, the chocolate. You eat them in front of the TV, while watching the latest season of Greek, thinking that by watching it you'll forget about is going on.

Wait. I'm rambling.

Anyways, when you see someone you know live your dream, it sucks.

But during those desperate episodes of Greek I realized that by seeing someone succeed at a dream that I've  been dreaming maybe just isn't a wake up call, but a motivation.

That's when I realized that maybe, sometimes, we- well I, still like to think things in a negative way.

"Look! She/He got this!". Fuuu regina! What have YOU accomplished?
"Oh man! The lecturer is mean!" Fuuuu! It's gonna be a hard semester!
"Look who you're going to compete against!" DAMN! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! WE'RE NEVER GOING TO MAKE IT!!

Haha! Yep, for a motivator, negativity still attacks at it's best time.
Sigh.

Good thing is- God is so good to me, I learn that this negativity can be blown away and defeated by positive thoughts.
Sometimes you have got to realize that everything is not about you.
If someone gets what you've been dreaming of, and you know it, you gotta realize that maybe, it's their dream as well.
Then you have to flashback at yourself and theirs.
Did you try enough to achieve what you've always dreamed of? Or maybe you're just standing there like an idiot going "Yea I want that.", but not going the extra mile to reach it?
Maybe they pushed more, tried more, and fought more?
If they did, you've got to admit.. They deserved whatever they accomplished.

Being able to reach humility and realizing the fact that whatever is happening isn't all about you is the first step of overcoming negativity.
Realizing that maybe the person who achieved something well deserved it is the next.

Then at that moment, we have to realize that there are still many opportunities for us to still reach our dreams. It's not too late.
I mean, sure, she/he got there first but it doesn't mean you can't!

All you gotta do is push harder .
Work harder.
Study harder.

Simply, go the extra mile.
Remember that opportunities comes for those who EARN it.
You have got to have the right to EARN it.

Earning the opportunity of a lifetime is hard.
It's not easy.
But, who said success is easy?
If it was easy, all people would be successful, won't they?

As my mom told me, the greatest and inspiring people are the ones who build themselves up to the top, from zero.
Be that person.

You know, when you realize that you still have TONS of work to do, you'll realize that you have NO time to even look at other people's life.
Like running a marathon, it's just you and the road. No one else.

Life is like that.
It's just you and it's journey.
Sometimes it's OK to look up, to see successful people to motivate you. Look for a minute though, then go back to see your track.
Sometimes it's OK to look down, too. To help people in need of your help, just in  case. Then don't forget to look at your own life as well.

Whatever you do, no matter who got what, you still can accomplish your dreams.
It's never impossible.

So, that's how you destroy negativity onto people's life, by thinking positive and building your own.

I learned a lot today.
I definitely learned to motivate myself, and push harder, way harder than I usually do.

The world doesn't wait up on lazy people.

And to reach success, being "good" at something sometimes just ain't good enough.

So come on, get up! Let's push ourselves!

Focus!

Why? BECAUSE WE CAN.
